Outcast Food Network (OFN) is the official Christian missions outreach for CAOT's second Christian book tour stop (The Men of CAOT Virtual Showcase) scheduled June 26, 2021.

Outcast Food Network helps to enhance the lives of the needy with food distributions, youth education and job skills training.

CAOT is asking all featured authors and attendees of the Men of CAOT Virtual Showcase to help solve hunger and poverty by making a financial contribution directly to OFN by donating at cash app “$outcastl” or www.outcastfoodnetwork.org!

Donate "NEW" Personal Hygiene Items to Homeless Men and Women in Baltimore

The general public is invited to drop-off the following "NEW" personal hygiene items to the registration table from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on 12/8 at the 2012 Christian Writer's Literary Festival:

tooth paste, tooth brushes, mouth wash, lip balm, chap stick, mouth wash, hand sanitizer, bars of soap, deodorant, foot powder, sanitary napkins/tampons, shaving cream, shaving razors, lotion, dental floss, medicated Vaseline, Gold Bond Powder;
pajamas (men and women); and
underwear (men and women)

All donated items will be distributed to homeless men and women in Baltimore, Maryland at the Karis Home and the Baltimore Rescue Mission.

Volunteers are needed on 12/8/12 from 11 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. to stuff donated items in bags for delivery to the Karis Home and the Baltimore Rescue Mission.

God could convert everyone using a blinding light and the voice of Christ as He did with the apostle Paul. Instead, He gives Christians the mission of reconciliation (Acts 1:8-9). He works through us, calling sinners to turn to Christ in repentance and faith.

Christian missions is sharing Christ. Our mission is proclaiming Christ as the only way to abundant, eternal life. Whom do we tell? Jesus made it clear that Christians are to reach out to “all the nations” (Matthew 28:19). Instead of countries, he was referring to people groups, those ethnic cultures without a Gospel witness.Christian missions, however, is not limited to overseas ministry.

While believers should faithfully support those who go to the unreached, all Christians have the mission to share Christ on the home field with family, friends, coworkers, and the community. The Christian mission of sharing Christ does not end with a sinner’s salvation. The commission was to make disciples – not immature believers. Thus, Christian missions involves not only evangelism but also discipleship.

Romans 10:13-15

What is Missions? Missions is the heartbeat of God. It also shows the spiritual condition of the church. Some may say that music and membership does. If missions is the heartbeat of God and is the central desire of the church, then it exemplifies the spiritual health of the church.

The Purpose of Missions (the Gospel) "Gospel" means "good news." Paul says that the gospel consists of the death of Christ for our sins, His burial, and resurrection (I Corinthians 15:1-5). It is not a social gospel. It’s the way of salvation (Acts 4:12). Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved (John 14:6). Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

There is no other way (Hebrews 2:3). How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him. It is (missions) the work of God (Ephesians 2:8-10). For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any many should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The Plea for Missions (the Gospel). The cry of the lost! (Psalm 142:4). I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. Missions is the Command of our Savior (Mark 16:15). And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

(Ezekiel 3:18) When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

(Ezekiel 3:19) Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

Why Support Missions? The greatest mission ever known was when God looked down and sent His Son (John 3:16). The world will never be brought to Christ unless we bring Christ to the world. We are ambassadors (II Corinthians 5:20).

Jesus taught that missions was the way to make disciples because Christ commanded us to do so. The great commission has never been canceled.

We cannot be happy unless we’re totally committed to telling others of Christ (Romans 1:14-16). I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians, both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. If we don’t, it’s a sure sign that we’ve lost our vision or never had one. Selfishness is a contradiction to Christianity.

A missionary spirit is the hope of the world and the nearest thing to the heart of God.
